Part of the fun had while golfing is keeping fit along with tranquility on the golf course, so seeing the GolfBoard video found below our article both shocked and excited us at the same time. As a lover of gadgets, the GolfBoard is impressive and a quick way to get around on the course, although this might not be ideal for some people.
Personally, we find it beats the golf buggy and would be really handy on some of the world’s longest golf courses, as long as the GolfBoard isn’t too loud. We’d have to hire one if they ever appear on any course we play on.
The video we featured below this article is demoed on the Makai Golf Course in Kauai, Hawaii, which is exactly why we found this video over on Surf Report thanks to Michael Adams. The author explains that Laird Hamilton is behind the GolfBoard, and there’s a good chance this product could be as popular as other trends by Hamilton like tow in Surfing.
You’d need to visit golfboard.com to purchase the latest golfing gadget, although be warned that it doesn’t come cheap with a price starting at $3,995. With the April UK release date already behind us, don’t be surpassed if this new form of golf transport starts appearing on select courses in the UK and United States.
Would you like to play a round of golf with the GolfBoard along the way? Or would you prefer to use your legs or a golf buggy?
Considering the price, we would think this new toy will be aimed at golf courses or those with enough money to just buy one outright.
