God of War IV: 300 composer may have spoiled E3 2012 secret

We recently picked your brains on the possibility of an online co-op mode appearing in the still very much rumored God of War IV game from Sony. However, things have just got one step closer to being official, as one figure who is working on the game has apparently slipped up online.

It continues to amuses us just how many huge games are leaked before a publisher has the chance to make it official. On this occassion, God of War IV is definitely not official to this date, but thanks to the games composer it looks like another game is on the way.

Timothy Williams is the composer who appears to have slipped up, as according to a listing on his CV he has done work for ‘God of War IV’ which he also lists as ‘upcoming’. Inevitably, the page has now been removed completely, but not before a screenshot of his CV was obtained which you can check out below courtesy of Siliconera.

Was this an announcement that Sony were planning to save until E3 2012? If so, then consider this yet another Sony secret that has failed to stay a secret. How many more unannounced games are going to be revealed due to social media sites and personal websites such as LinkedIN? Needless to say, fans won’t mind at all hearing that another God of War game is on the way as it still remains one of the biggest franchises that Sony has under their books.

On a side note, it looks like the soundtrack featured in God of War IV will be in good hands under the guidance of Timothy Williams. He has composed music for many blockbuster movies, including 300 and the Conan the Barbarian remake, while his previous video game work includes Rise of the Argonauts – notice a theme pattern here guys?

So a new God of War game is coming. The question is though, will it be a fully fledged follow up to God of War III, or will it perhaps be a spinoff title for the PS3 and PS Vita? Give us your ideas on this.
