GM Recall: List of Models Affected

GM has announced a new recall, this time there is 1.5 million vehicles affected due to a faulty heated windshield washer. The reason is because the system could overheat and catch fire. The recall is not just specific to one vehicle; there is a whole list of them.

The models affected are between the years 2006 and 2009, some of these include: Buick Enclave, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Avalanche, Chevrolet Avalanche, GMC Acadia, Hummer H2 and many more. The complete list can be found on The Detroit News thanks to Robert Snell.

General Motors has had to issue a similar recall back in 2008, that was due to a faulty fuse box as there was a chance of an electrical short — since the improvements were made there have been no incidents.

GM has said that there have been five fires due to the windshield washer system — thankfully there have not been any reports of crashes or injuries. The recall affects mostly the U.S.; other countries affected include Canada and Mexico. If you have any concerns then please contact your local dealer. As we mentioned above, the full recall list can be found over at The Detroit News
