Glen Johnson makes FIFA 15 TOTW, fans call it banter

Liverpool FC has had a tough time of late, struggling to find form recently and losing a run of games which they were expected to win. Over the weekend though, they bounced back courtesy of social media favorite Glen Johnson, who has now been selected by EA for the latest FIFA 15 team of the week.

Glen Johnson scored the winner in a 1-0 victory over Stoke and EA has deemed it worthy enough for selection in the latest batch of in-form players.

You can see Johnson himself proudly holding up his new rating in the game, with an image shared by the club on social media just hours ago.

As you can see, Johnson has a new rating of 78 which is an upgrade from 76 and actually a great new card for the player. His physical stat has moved up a total of four to 78, while he also gets a shooting upgrade from 64 to 65.

Inevitably though, the news of Johnson appearing in EA’s best team has resulted in a barrage of comments from football fans who are using that overused word known as ‘banter’.

From Facebook to Twitter, that’s all we are hearing at the moment with some who cannot believe that Johnson has been selected and have joked that he could now be a late entry to the Ballon D’Or.

It’s a little unfair in our opinion and we can also see that Johnson hasn’t used his Twitter account for month – presumably due to the toxic criticism which is happening at the moment.

As a FIFA 15 player though, are you happy with this new Glen Johnson card? Haters will hate so give us your thoughts on it below.
