We have now learned that the GingerBreak Motorola Droid X2 root is now ready, and is said to be a simple method. There is no denying how powerful a device the X2 is, but there is only one way to take advantage of that power, and that is by rooting it. So maybe this is more reason for you to choose this handset, even though some of you believe that the upgrades are not enough on this latest Verizon handset. (View specs here.)
Gingerbreak is great in the way that it allows you to root both Android 2.2 Froyo and 2.3 Gingerbread, so it really is the single click rooting solution as Redmond Pie suggests. There have been occasions where GingerBreak was able to root 3.0 Honeycomb as well. People are still worried about if they should ever root their phone, and if you have your doubts, then you should leave well alone.
Imagine the idea of being able to personalize and customize your Motorola Droid X2, well the answer is there for the taking; you just have to decide if you can be bothered to go through the process, which is pretty simply really.
The first step is to enable USB debugging in “Manage Applications” then you will need to download GingerBreak APK, which can do from here. The rest of the instructions are available for you on Redmond Pie, but from what we have read, nothing could be simpler.
Will you take the risk and root your Motorola Droid X2?
