Gigabyte Q2005: New Netbook Specs and Photos

If you are looking to buy a new netbook in 2011 we have a new Gigabyte model for you to check out, this is the Q2005, at the moment we have no idea of release date or price information, however we do have full specifications and some photos for you to check out.

Let’s start with its physical design, it has a 10.1-inch display and measures in at 266 x 185 x 19.7-27.1mm and weighs 1.05kg with the 3-cell battery, if you have the 6-cell battery it weighs 1.2kg.

In terms of specifications you get an Intel Atom N550 (1.50GHz) processor, either 1GB or 2GB of DDR3 RAM, Intel GMA 3150 graphics, a 10.1-inch LED backlit display with a maximum resolution of 1024×600, a range of hard drives to choose from (250-500GB), WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, Ethernet, 3 x USB 2.0 ports, an 8-in-1 card reader and a 0.3 megapixel webcam, the netbook runs Windows 7 Home Premium.

You can find out more about the Gigabyte Q2005 netbook here, the only thing which didn’t impress me too much was the fact that there is no SIM card slot for 3G connectivity, however it isn’t too much hassle to connect a USB modem for mobile access, perhaps you could try one of Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE modems to experience some superfast mobile data speeds.

Hopefully we will find out details regarding pricing and a release date soon, when we find out more we will keep you updated.
