Geneva Motor Show 2010: Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid Concept Revealed

Earlier on today we reported that Ferrari had unveiled a hybrid vehicle at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Porsche have now unveiled a vehicle concept which uses ultra-efficient, low-emission drive technology.
This car is the Porsche 918 Spyder, it features a V8 engine which delivers 500bhp and combines a high-performance mid-engined concept with ultra-efficient, low-emission drive technology.

This engine and drive technology allows the car to reach a top speed of more than 198mph, also acceleration from 0-62mps is possible in just 3.2 seconds.

This vehicle also features electric motors on the front and rear axles, therefore it will be more suited to inner city usage when compared to other Porsche models.
