GDC 2010: EA Sports Active 2.0 – No mention of an Xbox 360 release

Fresh from this year’s GDC event, EA has just lifted the lid on EA Sports Active 2.0 – the brand new version of their fitness software, coming to the Nintendo Wii, PS3 and iPhone this Autumn.

No we didn’t miss out the Xbox 360 version – EA made no mention of the software coming to Microsoft’s console, so either they have other plans involving Project Natal later on in the year, or the Xbox 360 simply doesnt support the equipment.

The new version will come equipped with a heart-rate monitor, while theres also funky looking arm and leg straps, which will be fitted with motion sensors.

PS3 owners who pick up the game, will be able to download new workouts directly from the PS Store. This looks like an ideal Christmas present for some of you – I know a few of my friends who will find this ideal!

Let us know what you think of the new version, and also your thoughts on no release for Xbox 360.
