It looks like Gamespot.com has gone down today on the launch day of FIFA 15. While we doubt this is related to the GameSpot website not working right now, it will clearly upset a few gamers if the service stays offline for any length of time.
The error message found on Gamespot states, “Error 503 Backend fetch failed”. This is a server problem that includes some other error information about the issue, which includes a code “XID: 32178193”. If you know what this means, then leave a comment below.
We have reached out to GameSpot about the current outage. If we receive a response, we’ll update this article. How long has Gamespot.com been down for you today, and did you want to order FIFA 15 tonight?
Update: The error message just changed to “Whoops, something’s wrong. T_T”. When we refresh, the website loads really slow and then goes to the above error and this could signal a lot of demand right now.
It looks like some people are able to access the games website and others are getting the same error message seen in the above screenshot.
