Galaxy S5 potential gaming performance

There are two main Android devices to get out of the way first before we should even think about the Samsung Galaxy S5, and that is the Nexus 5 and the new 2013 Nexus 10. However, while these devices might offer some great specs and design, they do not promise to be as radical as the Galaxy S5.

We have seen a huge amount of attention focused on what the Galaxy S5 will look like, but for now we thought we would look more into the hardware side of things. When Apple unveiled its new A7 64-bit chip it was a sign of things to come, as we knew right away that rivals would want to go the same route.

This is why it comes as no surprise that the Samsung Galaxy S5 processor looks as though it will be of the 64-bit variety. There has been some new information that says the Exynos 64-bit chip is now in the development process and is almost ready to be released.

If this report is true then the Galaxy S5 gaming performance has huge potential, something that will be an even bigger deal than that of the iPhone 5S. This is because the Galaxy S5 screen size will be much better to immerse yourself in, which is why we hope the iPhone 6 will come with an increased screen size.

While do we not have any performance figures for the new chip, it has been reported that it will be called the Exynos 5430 and will feature 8 cores, the same as the current chip.

We have seen several rumors over the past month or so to suggest that the release date for the Galaxy S5 could be brought forward a little, with March being mentioned, and this latest news seems to confirm this. However, as always, we should take this with a grain of salt until Samsung make an official announcement in regard to the new 64-bit chip. We might not have that long to wait because if it does exist, then it will be unveiled at CES 2014.
