Samsung Galaxy S5 and Note 4 owners have had to have a great deal of patience when it comes to getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Several countries have already seen the former handset get its update, although its worldwide download has yet to happen.
While there is no specific date as to when users will finally get to update their S5 and Note 4 handsets to Android 5.0, one would presume that we do not have too long to wait now, especially as MWC is just around the corner and so attention will start to shift towards the Galaxy S6.
We have already seen test builds of Lollipop running on the above devices, and the UK already had the update a couple of weeks back, so why has the US having to wait so long?
The most likely reason is down to carriers, as they have to make one or two changes to devices locked to them. However, with a fear that their customers could start looking elsewhere, surely they will now try to push the updates for the S5 and Note 4 very soon indeed?
Worth the wait — Ok, so we know that your patience has started to wear thin, but it might have been worth it, as rumors suggest the update could happen as soon as this week. Even better, if you have the Galaxy S4, then you could soon be downloading the 5.0.1 update.
Remember, the S4 is not an out-of-date device and some people even prefer it to the S5, which is the main reason why Samsung has to really deliver with its S6, and if rumors of its design and specs are true, then we could be in for a treat.
Are you growing tired of waiting for the Galaxy S5 and Note 4 to be updated?
