Galaxy S5 lacks innovation

The Galaxy S5 is due to be unveiled very shortly, although if what is being reported is true, then we may already have an idea of what to expect. If the leaked images are the real deal, then we are afraid that the Samsung Galaxy S5 lacks innovation and goes completely against what Samsung had promised us last year.

We are not certain that Samsung will even unveil the S5 today, although seeing as though the new Gear 2 was showcased yesterday and is meant to be released at the same time as Samsung’s next flagship handset, we don’t see why they would make us wait any longer?

Looking at the alleged design of the Galaxy S5, it’s not a major departure of the S4, which does make us feel as though Samsung has let us down, especially when we can expect the iPhone 6 to be very different in terms of design to the iPhone 5S.

If you were hoping to see a Samsung Galaxy S5 made from metal or carbon fiber, then you will feel very letdown indeed — if this source can be trusted.

The person who has snapped the S5 did say that it will incorporate a fingerprint scanner and will be used for many features, such as making payments with PayPal.

Do you think the Galaxy S5 will stick with the current design and will be made of plastic, and if so do you think this will hurt sales?
