With just one more day left in April after today, it would seem that the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android KitKat 4.4.2 update will be with us very shortly — well that is the hope. Things are looking very positive for this much-needed updated, which could be the last update for the device.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android KitKat 4.4.2 firmware update landed in France last week, and so the S3 version should not be far behind. Both handsets were given a time frame of late April or early May, and so it would seem the Note 2 was the former date, and the S3 was for the latter.
Okay, so we cannot assume this to be gospel, but come on, with the Note 2 already making good use of Android 4.4.2, it stands to reason the Galaxy S3 will get its update in the coming weeks, or even by the end of this week if we are lucky.
We can understand why some of you were a little skeptical at first with these dates, but now that at least one has come to fruition, surely the other is inbound?
Samsung Galaxy S3 Android KitKat 4.4.2 update features — are currently unknown, but one would assume they will be very similar to other Galaxy handsets. This means that the S3 could soon support Cloud printing, improved power management, white status bar icons and transparent status bar, among other things.
The moment the Galaxy S3 Android 4.4.4 update goes live we will inform you about the download, but until then, we just have to wait until it happens.
It is a long time to wait for this update seeing as though it has been out for a long time now, and with Google I/O just around the corner, there is a good chance a new version of Android will be released soon, which will no doubt be used on the Nexus 8 once released.
