Galaxy Note 5 SD card slot confirmed by carrier?

There has been a great deal of speculation in regard to the Galaxy Note 5 specs, which will all become clear next month if a new rumor is anything to go by. We had assumed that Samsung would unveil its new flagship handset, along with the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus in the same month as the iPhone 6S, but that may no longer be the case.

A recent report suggests that a Samsung event will be held on August 12, which is a Wednesday. What we find more interesting is the placeholder that Sprint has on the new phone, as it suggests that the Galaxy Note 5 will come with an SD card slot, although some people still have a hard time believing it.

This is because from what we have gathered over the months the Note 5 design will be similar to that of the Galaxy S6, which does not have a removable battery or a microSD card slot.

However, with the Note 5 suspected to be used more for business users, the need for expandable storage is a must for them, as poor storage is never usually a great option. Having said that, with more people opting to store files, data, and photos in the cloud and streaming music, maybe the need for large onboard storage on smartphones and phablets will slowly fade out?

Not all people feel this way, as they would much rather have a physical backup than store stuff in the cloud. Do you feel that the Note 5 needs a microSD card slot, and if so, should we believe this Sprint placeholder?
