Galaxy Nexus release brings big discount from LetsTalk

Earlier today we told you about the online orders for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus finally going live. This followed the news a few days ago that the handset would finally become available in the US for consumers today. Now we can tell you that the Galaxy Nexus release brings a big discount for the handset from LetsTalk.

After Verizon finally confirmed the launch details for the Galaxy Nexus, and the pricing for the first 4G LTE smartphone running Android Ice Cream Sandwich. For consumers taking a new two year contract it will cost $299.99, and while it’s an impressive device it is still a lot of money to pay out. Now though according to BGR, mobile retailer LetsTalk are offering the device for the great price of $154.99 with a new 24 month contract.

The price of the handset from LetsTalk is $229.99 but a special $75 coupon is available from the retailers Facebook page. To get this just visit the page here and click onto the ‘Verizon Deals’ link in the sidebar to see the coupon. This brings the cost down to $154.99 with a brand new contract, but existing subscribers who want to upgrade will only have to pay a $20 premium with a $174.99 total.

It is not known how long this offer will run for but is a good way to get Androids new operating system at a lower price. There are likely to be other new desirable handsets shown off in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show, which starts on January 10th.
