Free iOS app helps children learn with magical Christmas twist

There are plenty of educational applications available for a variety of age groups to engage with. But today we have a free iOS app that helps children learn but with a magical Christmas twist.

Christmas Eve is brought to you by independent developer So Ouat and is available for owners of the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. This educational application has been designed for children between the ages of three to ten, and captures the magic of Santa Claus and his helpful elves. It is currently being offered free until the end of this year and has been enhanced to include interactive learning features.

The application is a festive addition in an award winning lineup of interactive storybooks, and features great animations and beautiful artwork. This will bring the magic of the holiday season to your little ones fingertips. There is both audio narration and on screen text included in the app allowing children to read the story, or have it read to them.

On top of this there is interactive learning features that include touch pronunciation, which once a word is touched is spoken with the word’s definition and its opposite given. Another feature is show me that gives an illustration to represent a word. All features are easily accessed by the simple to use interface that has been designed with small fingers in mind.

You can see a video below of the application in action, and users have been giving Christmas Eve favorable reviews. Christmas Eve – SO 3.4 is available worldwide on the App Store and is free to download until the end of the year. iOS 3.2 or later required.
