Freddie Mercury Google Doodle has a play button

When Google decides to feature a special event with a Google Doodle there are many ways they can portray a famous figure, and none more so than the Freddie Mercury Google Doodle today that features a play button. When it comes to musical stars what better way to remember them than a song they sung?

Freddie Mercury was born 65 years ago today, and his birthday is being remembered with a Google Doodle that millions will see and a little less than that will press play. While we’re not sure if the song will change throughout the day, when we pressed play we had the pleasure to listen to “Don’t Stop Me Now”, which was one of his hits with Queen.

The Doodle will display loads of different animations with the Google logo in the background once you click play.
