Frankfurt Motor Show 2013 brings Jaguar Land Rover jobs

We cannot deny since Tata Motors took over Jaguar Land Rover, the company has been going from strength to strength, and the latest news that 1,700 new Jaguar Land Rover jobs will be created proves just that. This great news was revealed during the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013, and so is a huge start to the event.

The auto industry has been in a strange place for several years, but the tide has been turning in recent times, and so the news of a £1.5bn investment in new technology at the Solihull factory helps to bolster this.

According to the report the money will be used to develop a new aluminum chassis for upcoming models, one of which will be the Jaguar C-X17, which we discussed yesterday. This chassis will be more universal because it can be used on multiple models, which helps to reduce production costs.

Jaguar Land Rover has been making great strides over the past few years, and has now lost that stuffy image they had been suffering with, and the launch of the F-Type shows they can adapt to changing times.

The new model to use the new aluminum chassis architecture will be in 2015, which is when the Jaguar C-X17 will be released, if that will be its final name.

Over the past three years JLR has increased their workforce by 11,000, which shows the UK is still a great place to build cars; let us hope other companies see the potential of the UK.
