Back in May this year we told you that Turn 10 Studios’ much-anticipated Forza Motorsport 4 game was scheduled to be released sometime in the fall. We also announced that a Limited Collector’s Edition had been confirmed, although we couldn’t provide any more info at the time as details were rather scarce. However, we do have some good news for those that are interested, as more details have now been unveiled.
According to Brian Ekberg over on the forzamotorsport.net website, the Limited Collector’s Edition — which is due to arrive alongside the Standard Edition on October 11th — comes with a polished Steelbook DVD case containing the VIP Car Pack, which includes the 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, 2011 RUF Rt 12 R, 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, 2010 Noble M600 and the 2011 Ferrari 458 Challenge.
There is also a limited quantity ‘Ship Bonus’ car pack available for those who pre-order the Forza Motorsport 4 game early. This pack includes the 2011 Tesla Roadster Sport, 1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe, 2011 RUF RGT-8, 1997 Lexus SC300 and the 2011 Koenigsegg Agera. That isn’t all either, as it will also provide gamers with a ten-car add-on pack that features some of the best classic American muscle cars.
The Limited Collector’s Edition will also include custom-designed BMWs that have been selected as part of the Forza Motorsport 4 BMW Design Challenge. These vehicles will also be available upon launch from Xbox Live Marketplace. Fans will also receive the 96-page ‘Cars of Forza Motorsport 4 Presented by Top Gear’ book, which is written by the editors at Top Gear and features imagery from Top Gear and Forza 4.
Other goodies found within the Limited Collector’s Edition include VIP membership status within the Forza community (including special recognition in the Forza community, ForzaMotorsport.net, leaderboards and more), an exclusive BMW theme available to download from the Xbox Live Marketplace and a set of vinyl stickers that feature the logos of ‘Top Gear,’ Turn 10’ and ‘Forza Motorsport.’
However, one of the best reasons to purchase the Forza Motorsport 4 Limited Collector’s Edition is the 2012 BMW M5, which was unveiled during the 24 Hour Nurburging Race event in Germany this past weekend. The brand new BMW will be drivable first in the Forza Motorsport 4 game, and will be featured on the front cover.
