Forza Horizon 2 has been confirmed with an announcement just moments ago and this followed a tweet by Playground Games very own Creative Director. You can see the tweet below that saw Ralph Fulton tease his excitement for today, then a few hours later Microsoft made the Forza Horizon 2 announcement.
More coverage about the racing game will come in the next couple of weeks and especially at E3 2014. Forza Horizon 2 will have a release date in fall and launch on Xbox One and Xbox 360. The racer will follow on from previous titles on both systems, and most recently the Forza Motorsport 5 game on Xbox One.
I am excited about today.

Development for Forza Horizon 2 is by Playground Games, although they’re being helped by Turn 10 Studios and their Motorsport team. The collaboration will ensure the game is one of the best racers to launch on both Xbox One and 360.
Will Forza Horizon 2 be the next racing game you purchase? The Xbox One will allow Playground and Turn 10 studios to create something special when it comes to racing, and Fulton echoed this statement not on his Twitter channel this time. Fulton feels the Xbox One is “a true home” for all gamers that love an amazing racing game.
The next game will deliver many more cars, in fact the number will head well into the hundreds. The 2015 Lamborghini Huracán will headline the cars list for Forza Horizon 2, and a new weather system will arrive in the latest game to immerse players like never before.
You will find the Forza Horizon 2 location is now Southern Europe, rather than the rumored Louisiana. This setting will bring a lot of diversity while racing along with some amazing music, which should make the Forza Horizon 2 soundtrack one of the best yet. This is greatly helped by a music festival being featured heavily within the new game.
Learn more about the improvements on IGN over the coming month, which will be thanks to a number of features they’ll be running revealing news about Forza Horizon 2 bit-by-bit. This insight comes after they’ve visited Playground Games in the UK, so it will take a few days/weeks to deliver all that content to their readers with a hands-on preview being revealed tomorrow.
