Fortnite on Android could be timed-exclusive for Galaxy Note 9

There has been a breakthrough this week regarding information on when Fortnite on Android will finally be available. Now it looks like the long delay on making it onto Android was to ensure that Samsung get an exclusive Fortnite release with the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.

Whispers over at the XDA Developer forums suggest that the Galaxy Note 9 will get a 30-day exclusivity period with Fortnite before it arrives on other Android devices.

Thanks to a separate leak, the date in which Fortnite could arrive on Android could be on August 24, meaning that September 24 should be the non-galaxy Note 9 launch for the game.

Furthermore, we’ve heard that those who pre-order the Galaxy Note 9 will receive between $100-150 worth of V-Bucks to spend on Fortnite content. Those who choose not to take up the Fortnite credit offer, will instead get a free pair of wireless AKG headphones.

If the reports are true, it would make sense why there has been so much silence regarding Fortnite and it also means that the Galaxy Note 9 event is going to have a big emphasis on Fortnite.

Could the Galaxy Note 9 sales reach unprecedented numbers due to this upcoming partnership with Epic Games and Fortnite? Let us know if you would pre-order to get those juicy V-Credits.
