It is only a couple of days before Formula in Red Faction: Armageddon is released, and we have already given you an early review of the game. Today we have a post looking at Formula in Red Faction: Armageddon multiplayer on PS3 for you.
Red Faction: Armageddon is different from the last game in a number of ways, with the biggest difference being the structure of the game. In Guerrilla players had an open world experience, but Armageddon gives the player designated objectives according to Tyler Minarik of PlayStation LifeStyle.
This provides a faster paced game and focuses on combat instead of just destroying everything in sight. With the campaign mode being quite short gamers will turn to the online modes of play. Infestation mode is a standard online cooperative game pitting players against enemies that increase in numbers and difficulties.
There are sixteen stages with eight of them being dark versions of other levels, and each has thirty waves of enemies. Ruin mode needs the online pass that comes with the game to be accessed, but the only online feature about it is the leader board. It is also similar to the Wreaking Crew mode found in Guerrilla where players have to cause as much destruction as possible but in a stylish way.
It will be of some disappointment to many that there is no competitive multiplayer mode in the game, but the ones available do provide some fun and plenty of game play. Are you going to buy Red Faction: Armageddon?
