Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 insane new power footage

If there were any doubts as to the performance of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 engine, then all you need to do is watch the video below, and all that uncertainty will disappear. This is because the car was taking part in a dyno test to see how much power the GT500 puts down at the wheels, and the results are shocking.

In this new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 footage you’ll see that all is going well during it’s dyno test at the Performance Expo 24, and as you can see it looks like carnage, as things certainly get out of control. We cannot be certain how much damage was caused to the vehicle, but it’s rather obvious that the dyno machine was wrecked.

As far as we know, nobody was hurt, but it shows that if these tests are not done correctly it can be costly, as well as a danger to others. Watch the guy in the video with the white T-Shirt, he knew something was about to happen, as he pointed and then moved away, and it’s just after when all hell broke loose — well the GT500 anyway.

We cannot be certain why this happened, but we do have a few theories, such as the RPM of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 exceeding the rating of the dyno machine, although it could also be down to poor installation/rigging.

You can clearly hear the dyno screaming away, so it was far too much power for it, and as for the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 damage, the suspension would have been damaged, as would the drive train. However, going back to the bloke with the white T-Shirt, it’s possible that he saw the bearings giving way.

Again, watch the video below for multiple angles of the incident.
