Ford Mondeo Vignale price targets rivals

Ford has finally revealed more details on its upcoming Mondeo Vignale, although more is to come in May 2015. Before we get to that, we thought we would take a look at what Ford has been sharing, such as its starting price.

The Ford Mondeo Vignale price will start at £29,045 and will sit above its Titanium X trim, and so will add a few more premium features. Now that we know the cost, we have to now wonder how this new model will compete with rival models from the likes of Audi, BMW and Jaguar?

Ok, so we know that Ford is never usually competing with the likes of those brands, but this new trim does make Ford punch higher than it would normally.

Ford Mondeo Vignale exterior

You will have the option of a saloon or estate, and so no hatchback at this time. There is no much difference with this model and the Titanium X exterior, as is it the Ford Mondeo Vignale interior where there are the main differences, along with Active Noise Cancellation for the diesel models.

The entry-level Vignale comes with a 178bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine for the saloon version. However, if you want the top of the line model, then that will be the all-wheel-drive automatic 2.0-litre diesel at a cost of £33,310.

Once pre-orders for the new model go live next month Ford will then share a lot more details, such as the full specs, and options.
