In a bid to try and stop the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 from being cloned, General Motors has made the decision to only sell parts to those 500 people who have purchased one of these models. However, what they might have actually done is speed up the process for Chevrolet Camaro Z28 aftermarket performance parts.
There are 53 parts in all for the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and General Motors believe that this move will help to keep the vehicle both rare and unique. However, it is clear that GM has angered a lot of people who want to get a taste of the new Z/28, but it seems if you want something like it, you will have to wait for the 2015 run, as the 2014 model is pretty much sold out.
Seeing as though the 2014 Chevy Camaro Z28 is so desirable we cannot seeing it being too long before aftermarket parts start to appear on the market, although not certain how they will compare to the genuine article, as more often than not their quality is not as good.
Having said that, these third-party car parts makers have improved a lot over the years, but we highly doubt they will be as good as the real thing.
This news does not affect those who already own one of these vehicles because GM has you covered, but it will affect those of you who were planning on building a replica of the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z28.
Some of the parts to be restricted are rear axles and differential, spoilers and fenders, Brembo brakes, those lovely 19-inch wheels and much more.
What this means is that if you have a donor car that you were hoping to transform into the new Z28, then your has job become a lot tougher, that is until the aftermarket spares kick in.
