FONLINE: Ashes Of Phoenix beta progress

During the Fallout 4 MMO debate it seems some fans decided to jump straight in and develop their own massively multiplayer online version of Fallout. Finally, a beta version has been released under the title FONLINE: Ashes Of Phoenix, although this isn’t an official release from Bethesda.

You will need to own a copy of Fallout 2 to play online with this MMO. Copies of this game can be found online pretty cheap now, considering its age, so that shouldn’t be a problem for most PC gamers.

The Fallout MMORPG is made possible with an FOnline game engine and the location is Phoenix, Arizona, around the year 2220. You can download client v1.0 on this page along with instructions on how to install the multiplayer add-on.

Within the FONLINE: Ashes Of Phoenix story, you’ll play as a Wastelander arriving in Phoenix for some action and of course food. Right at the start you need to make a choice when presented with factions desiring extra manpower.

There’s a bar on the left of, which reveals current progress within the game. This currently states design at 95%, content and art at 90% along with scripting, writing is at 85%, and finally mapping is also at 85 percent. Have you played FONLINE: Ashes Of Phoenix and if so, what do you think of this MMO?
