Flu Vaccine: iOS is the faster method for information

As most of you will know too well, there is no quick solution from catching the flu, except taking some medicine and hoping that it clears up as soon as possible so you can resume your daily routine.

For those of you who are keen on searching for flu vaccines though, we want to point you in the direction of several flu related apps that you can download from the App store on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

First up is Swine Flu Protection, which costs $99 to download and provides you with detailed information on the H1N1 virus, including information on what to do if you think you have been infected with Swine Flu.

If you would like a similar app, but don’t want to pay for it, you may want to try an app called ‘Fight the Flu’, which is currently free to download. It has a simple and easy to use interface, but unlike the first app, this app will provide you with a flu tracker via zip code, allowing you to see the volume of affected people in the area that you live in – pretty smart we say.

Finally, if you’re looking for a lighthearted take on Swine Flu, there’s also a free game which you can download, which puts you straight into the role of a white blood cell which has just been infected by Swine Flu – it’s pretty fun and the trial version is free. Simply search the App Store for ‘Swine Flu’ and you should find it.

On a more serious note, we think you’ll find the second application mentioned above the most useful, particularly since it contains a lot more useful information which is packaged nicely in the interface. If you currently have the flu, download these apps now and let us know your thoughts on them.
