Flip Slide HD Now Available: Rivals Cheaper

Rumors of the Flip Slide HD has to be one of the worst kept secrets, so comes as no surprise that this small device is finally available to purchase. The feature that consumers will be most impressed with is it’s pop-up three-inch screen, which is a resistive touchscreen version of the Flip Mino.

The Flip Slide HD comes with stereo speakers, but if you are looking for something more personal, then the addition of a headphone jack will be very welcome. The device offers 720p video; playback on a TV is made better thanks to an HDMI out port.

The Flip Slide HD video camera device offers 16GB of storage; this will give you 12 hours of video storage. The $279 price tag is the biggest problem here as rivals have HD video-capable cameras with much larger screens. We now wait for Engadget to offer a full hands-on review to see if it is worth the price.
