First iPad 4 vs. iPad 5 review not what it seems

When we first saw the video comparing the iPad 4 to the iPad 5 we found it rather intriguing for obvious reasons. However, it wasn’t until we began to play the video that we understood just what the reviewer was doing.

For those of you who have not seen it yet, then what we have here is a sneak peak at the iPad 5, which is then compared to an iPad 4 teardown. So we get to see the internals of Apple’s current tablet and then used to build a working iPad 5 thanks the new casing the reviewer had received.

The biggest thing you will notice in the video is the difference in the design between the two, which can be seen in the image below. We have to stress we still do not know the final design, but neither was the design of the iPhone 5C known and look how spot on all those leaks were.

You can clearly see the thickness of the iPad 4 when compared to the iPad 5, as the latter is thinner and not as wide either, this is all thanks to taking much of the design from the iPad mini. Because the overall size of Apple’s upcoming tablet is smaller than the current model there will no doubt be battery concerns because this to has to be smaller.

However, we are told in the video that Apple has made improvements to their battery technology, much the same as they have done with the iPhone 5S.

We do like the fact that the iPad 5 is expected to come with stereo speakers, which we should see for real during the rumored Apple event for October 15, 2013. Overall, this is an insightful video, and hope that you found it informative as we did?
