Final Fantasy XV graphics realism with hair textures

We have some new Final Fantasy XV eye candy for you to enjoy now. The game still doesn’t have a release date, but it is looking increasingly likely that it will be ready for the end of 2015.

Now, we can see that Final Fantasy XV has been featured in the latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu. Square-Enix has revealed some of the techniques that they have been using to make character hair as realistic as possible.

Luna is one character in the game and you can see an example of this by checking out a scan from the magazine below – it looks highly impressive you have to say, given that they are able to scan hair from a sculpture directly into the game.

The image was uploaded to the official Final Fantasy XV Wiki page and you can check out more images of Luna there if you need them.

We all know that Square-Enix are masters when it comes to graphics, but are you even surprised by the level of realism that is possible today judging by the scan above?

It all bodes well overall and we just hope that we get a launch date soon. Give us your thoughts on this new image and how excited you are for Final Fantasy XV despite the delays.

Are you still confident that this game is going to be one of the best ever Final Fantasy games?
