Final Fantasy XIV (14): Open Beta Release Date Update

We have some good news for those of you planning to pick up the PC version of Final Fantasy XIV this September, as Square-Enix has given us an update for those wishing to participate in the open beta of the game.

As reported from VG247, the closed beta is set to close tomorrow, to make way for the start of the open beta – about time! Square-Enix revealed on Twitter that the open beta will start sometime in September, but didn’t give an exact date.

Considering the game is due out on the 30th, the open beta will probably commence during the first week of September we’d say. Did you manage to get into the closed beta of the game? If so, let everyone know if it is worth picking up this September or not.

Will you be buying FFXIV or not?
