Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360 & PS3): Review Roundup

Hundreds of reviews of Final Fantasy XIII are emerging on the Internet today, therefore we thought we would help you filter out some of the less reputable reviews and inform you of some of what we regard as trustworthy reviews.

So far metacritic have scored the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII 82 and it has a user rating of 8.4, whereas they have scored the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII 83, however there is no user rating yet.

If you want to check out some decent PS3 Final Fantasy XIII reviews you should be sure to check out the reviews from GamesRadar, ComputerandVideoGames, 1UP and GameStop, out of all of these reviews I feel that GamesStop and GamesRadar’s reviews are the most in-depth.

GameInformer sum up most opinions by stating that the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII is “A phenomenal RPG destined to be remembered as a technical milestone for the series”, however as you may have read earlier Edge Magazine’s review is far more critical.

If you want to check out some decent Xbox 360 Final Fantasy XIII reviews you should be sure to check out the reviews from Vandal, 1UP, SpazioGames, MSXboxWorld and GameStop, out of all of these reviews I feel that MSXboxWorld’s is the most informative.

Again this version isn’t without its critics, TeamXbox score the game just 50/100 and say that “Final Fantasy XIII shoves a handful of protagonists in your face that look like they were designed at a cosplay convention and asks you to care about them simply because they’re wearing a beanie, have a cool nickname or speak with a mysterious Australian accent”
