Final Fantasy X HD limited edition bonuses a mystery

One of the remaining highlights on PS3 aside from GTA V of course, is the upcoming re-release of Final Fantasy X, which Square-Enix has been remastering in HD over the last few years. The game is also on the way to the PS Vita, but now we have discovered that Square-Enix also has plans in place to offer a limited edition of the game.

The surprising thing about this, is that Square-Enix has yet to officially confirm the availability of a limited edition version of Final Fantasy X HD, or Final Fantasy X-2 HD for that matter. However, a GameStop poster has been spotted this week, confirming that there will be a different version available.

Furthermore, the poster also reveals that the limited edition will be ‘free’ to all users who pre-order the game before its release date later on this year. That tells us that the extra bonuses on offer will not be deemed as essential, especially if GameStop are giving the LE edition away for free with pre-orders.

It could in fact just end up being something small like a free in-game poster to hang on your wall, but obviously we hope that slightly better goodies are in the pipeline. What about some add-on content for the game, or perhaps even access to the ‘Last Mission’ content from Final Fantasy X-2 HD?

Square-Enix recently said they were undecided about adding this previously Japan exclusive content into the HD remasters, but what if GameStop has managed to secure Last Mission as an exclusive offer for pre-ordering? It’s definitely something to keep an eye on this week and hopefully Square-Enix will be revealing some solid details on the limited edition version soon.

Would you be interested in pre-ordering from GameStop for extra bonuses?
