Final Fantasy Versus XIII: New PS3 Screenshots

We have a treat for Final Fantasy fans now, as some new scans of Final Fantasy Versus XIII have popped up in a Japanese magazine. The game was a notable absentee from this year’s E3 so these images should keep you satisfied for the time being.

The scans have been uploaded by French website GameRama. There are three large images for you to take a look at, two of them giving us a look at the game’s breathtaking environments.

The last scan gives us a look at one of the boss characters in the game – sadly though, our Japanese is not up to scratch, so we’ll have to get a translator on that one.

What are your thoughts on the new images? Hopefully we’ll have more details for you soon. Don’t forget that you should expect a major unveil at this year’s TGS.

HOLY CRAP! FINALLY WE GET SOMETHING!!!!! THE LAST THING WE GOT ABOUT THE GAME WAS YEARS AGO!!! I am predicting a mid 2011 to early 2012, maybe even later…

Talk of controllable airships, screenshots showing open world-like environments, gritty dark atmosphere, evidence that there is not only human enemies in the realistic environment….wheres the catch? There has to be one, judging by ff13…

Do I smell a post-apocalyptic Final Fantasy setting? If so… "YES!!!" is all I got to say.
