We have an interesting article for Final Fantasy fans to check out now, as both Motomu Toriyama and Yoshinori Kitase have admitted that they were left slightly confused with president Yoichi Wada’s comments, when referring to the future of the Final Fantasy franchise.
As reported from Eurogamer, Wada recently stated that it ‘remains to be seen’ if the team are going to continue to internally create this kind of game again – obviously talking about the future after Final Fantasy XIII. He added that he thinks that the team who worked on FFXIII should move onto something else, as we move into the ‘next generation’ of gaming.
However, Toriyama and Kitase, the director and producer respectively stated that they ‘didn’t know what he meant by that’. Pretty strange, don’t you think guys?
They did add though, that they thought Wada could of been referring to the sheer scale of time and numbers of staff spent on Final Fantasy XIII, and that he simply wanted to become more ‘efficient’ for the next game.
We want your thoughts on this. Full article through the link.
