Following on from our previous report on the problems involving the Final Fantasy XIV open beta, we now have an update for you on the situation, and it is not particularly good news.
It has been confirmed that gamers are still getting locked out of the beta, due to heavy traffic congestion on the Square-Enix servers.
Various sign-up and log-in pages are down – redirecting gamers to an error message webpage with the following details:
”Due to server congestion, the requested page could not be displayed, please try again later.”
As far as I know, this page is stopping people from getting a beta key for the game, which is obviously very frustrating. You can read more details on the server errors in our previous report here.
Are you still getting a server error message when trying to get into the beta? Hopefully it will be resolved soon, we’ll give you an update on this shortly.
