Final Fantasy 14 review before PS4 launch

If you are planning to buy Final Fantasy 14 on PS4, you are going to want to check out what critics are saying about the game beforehand. The great news, is that it looks like Final Fantasy 14 is a complete step up from the failed original and we have one Final Fantasy 14 review which seems to suggest that the subscription fee is well worth paying.

The official Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn PS4 release date is April 14 meaning that there is still a while to go until the game is out. Previews have been going live by the day though, with Square-Enix keen to send a message out that this is a completely different game to what launched on PC all those years ago.

More importantly though, those picking up the PS4 version have some amazing new features to look forward to, including the ability to play Final Fantasy 14 on a PS Vita thanks to Remote Play.

Also, for those that aren’t aware of this yet – you won’t need to a PS Plus subscription to play Final Fantasy 14 online. Your subscription fee with Square-Enix will grant you access to the game, which also includes playing online, on the go with your PS Vita – amazing stuff when you think about it.

As we await full PS4 reviews to go live, we’ve included IGN’s video review of the game below allowing you to get an early heads-up. The game is looking amazing on PS4 and it looks like that PS Vita Remote Play feature could be the feature that ends up selling a lot of PS4 consoles too.

Are you going to be buying the game day one in April? It’s great to see a return to fortunes for Square-Enix after the problems in the past.

Hopefully they’ll start considering a Final Fantasy 7 remake at last.
