Final Fantasy 14 PS4 trailer with exclusive features

It is going to be an amazing month for PS4 users with the highly anticipated arrival of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. To get you warmed up for the big day, Square-Enix has released a new PS4 trailer, which also confirms that the PS4 version will have some exclusive features not on PC.

Just to remind you, the Final Fantasy 14 release date is April 14. The game is already available on PS3 and those who have it can upgrade to the PS4 version for free – that includes your save file and all data with it.

The relaunch has received wide-spread praise from those who have played on PC and it looks like the port over to PS4 is going to be well worth the wait and entrance fee as well.

This week, Square-Enix has given us an idea of the additional functionality that will be available on the PS4 version. Specifically, you’ll be able to play Final Fantasy 14 with added touch-pad support using the DualShock 4 controller.

You can also make use of the instant Share feature of the PS4, recording gameplay and sending instant pictures of the game online to your social spaces. The biggest PS4-exclusive feature of all though is easily support for Remote Play on the PS Vita.

This feature is going to be amazing!

Just imagine being able to go online with your friends and play through the game outside of the home, whilst still connected to the PS4 via Remote Play. It’s the feature that is getting everyone very excited and it could be the sole feature that tempts users to buy the PS4 version ahead of PC and PS3.

On top of everything, Square-Enix are also giving users the option of playing the game with mouse and keyboard, if you don’t fancy using the DualShock 4. It’s great of Square-Enix to throw that into the mix as we know some of you have been asking for this support as a preference over controller.

Watch the trailer below and let us know if you will be buying Final Fantasy 14 on April 14.
