FIFA 14 World Cup mode on PS4, Xbox One

The FIFA 14 World Cup mode will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One after all, but it will simply be a “Kick Off” mode with the 32 National Brazil World Cup teams. This isn’t the World Cup tournament or career mode some gamers wanted, although it is a welcomed addition to the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup update.

Just 2 days ago we informed Product Reviews readers about FIFA 14 receiving a World Cup update on Xbox One and PS4. At the time we thought this was a mode just inside Ultimate Team and didn’t notice teams coming to the Kick Off mode via an automatic download.

Are you happy about this update in a couple of days time, or do you think it’s lazy not adding the full World Cup tournament to FIFA 14 on PS4/Xbox One? This is one step closer to getting the full World Cup game on PS4 and Xbox One rather than just having an update within FUT, so you’ll be able to play against friends and family using the World Cup teams from May 29.

One fan had this to say, “It is a joke, the international tournament mode is already embedded within the career mode. I would say they just couldn’t be bothered to add another menu for this with the World Cup update”.
