FIFA 14 Ruud van Nistelrooy Legend not on PS3, PS4

Are you addicted to FIFA 14 Ultimate Team? If so, you won’t want to miss Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s big announcement that he is to ‘officially’ join the game as part of the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team Legends roster.

As most of you are aware, Ruud Van Nistelrooy is officially retired as a professional footballer. However, EA has released a parody video, giving users the impression that the Dutch striker is coming out of retirement to play for a lucky FIFA 14 team chosen by you.

In simpler terms, Van Nistelrooy is going to be on the Legends roster and it’s a deal that has been announced as an ‘exclusive ‘ to Xbox platforms – ie he won’t be available on the PS3 or PS4 versions of FIFA 14.

Remember that EA has signed an exclusive partnership with Microsoft for FIFA 14 and Battlefield 4, so this looks like to be the latest example of this deal.

Looking at Ruud’s stats, he is going to have a 90 overall rating, with an 86 shooting ability and 84 heading ability.

You’ll also need to complete challenges if you want to unlock Van Nistelrooy in FIFA 14 Ultimate Team Legends, a player that EA describes as ‘one of the rarest and most valuable’ players.

Let us know your thoughts on the fact that this is exclusive to Xbox. PS3 and PS4 players, are you unhappy about this?
