We have some important rumors to share with all FIFA 14 fans now, as it looks like we may have a release date to give you. FIFA 14 is expected to release sometime in September like previous versions before it, but one UK retailer has suggested that gamers may have to wait until early October to play the game instead.
To remind you, FIFA 13 was released in the UK on September 27 – a usual release timeframe for EA’s popular footy franchise. However, retailer GAME has revealed a potential FIFA 14 release date of October 4 instead, one of the first occasions where we have seen a popular retail chain offer a solid release date.
We can also tell you that the October 4 release date, has now vanished from GAME’s current FIFA 14 product listing – not before an image with the incriminating details was captured though. Is this a clear sign that October 4 is indeed the big day that UK gamers should look forward to?
If so, then prepare for the inevitable price wars to kick off, which will probably culminate in supermarkets like Tesco offering a significantly lower price than what GAME and other specialist retailers will. GAME are currently asking for £45 online for the game, but expect this to fall between £30 and 40 by the time October 4 arrives.
How excited are you about this year’s FIFA game? Are you still playing FIFA 13 regularly and perhaps think that a new game is coming too soon already? One platform that will be missing out on the action is Nintendo’s Wii U console console unfortunately, as we told you recently that EA won’t be offering the game at the same time as PS3 and Xbox 360.
A PS Vita version may also be on the way this year after recent retailer sightings, so that’s great news if true. Let us know your thoughts on the slightly later release date for FIFA 14, if it’s confirmed that the game is coming out in October, not at the end of September.
