FIFA 14 is an amazing game for football fans to get their teeth stuck into, but it is far from perfect as most seasoned pros will tell you. The game has a notable number of bugs that are causing considerable hassle, but fortunately EA is already on the case and are planning quick fixes.
If you have the PC version of the game, you should be pleased and already aware that the second title update is now live on the game. This same update has now been given clearance by EA for console release and has now been confirmed to be hitting the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions sometime this week.
Within the update are several key bug fixes, one of which we’re pleased to report prevents the game from freezing while making substitutions during gameplay – we bet this happened to a lot of you. Other changes include an overall game balance to the way the system handles attacking headers, finesse shots and lofted through balls.
Perhaps more importantly, EA has made the somewhat unusual move in upgrading a player on the game based entirely on fan feedback and support. Fans of AC Milan are going to be delighted as EA is upgrading striker Stephan El Shaarawy to 4 star Skills in Online Seasons, Head to Head, and Career Mode when playing EA Sports Football Club Match Day.
The developer has also said that El Shaarawy may get an update in the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team mode as well at a later date, but not straight away with this new console patch.
What are your thoughts on EA upgrading a player so soon? If you could pick out any other player that needs an upgrade badly – who would it be and why? Check out the full list of console patch notes here.
