It gets even better for PS Vita owners in 2013, as it looks like a version of FIFA 14 is coming alongside console versions. This is just days after separate rumors suggested that the highly impressive Rayman Legends was also on the way to Sony’s handheld, meaning that the PS Vita is really looking like a force to be reckoned with after such a slow start.
The promising handheld was in dire need of some quality games to arrive in 2013 and there’s little doubt that FIFA 14 and Rayman Legends definitely fit the bill. FIFA Soccer, the last game to arrive on the PS Vita was a little disappointing in terms of longevity, so if FIFA 14 is on the way – we just want EA to treat the portable version with the same love that they do with console versions.
By this, we’re talking about a fully fledged career mode, FIFA Ultimate Team and many other features that make the console versions exciting for months after release. The worse case scenario that we can see is for FIFA 14 on PS Vita to go down the Black Ops Declassified route, where it was really just the ‘name’ attached to the system, with no effort spent on making the game play as same as the console version of Black Ops 2 – a lack of zombies was a prime example of this.
FIFA 14 has now been listed on Amazon’s website, despite the fact that EA has yet to officially confirm FIFA 14 for the PS Vita. A release date of September 24 has also been attached with the listing, which could very well be the same date that the console and PC versions arrive as well.
Hopefully will give out some details on the game soon, as well as the first gameplay so we can see how good it looks compared to FIFA 14 on console. We would definitely sacrifice some graphics, if the features are more on par with what will be coming on console – that’s the key for us. Don’t be lazy again EA.
