FIFA 14, GTA V and Pokemon X & Y rule UK chart

FIFA 14, Grand Theft Auto V, Pokemon X and Y along with a number of other popular titles have ruled the UK gaming chart this week. GTA V took the first place spot away from FIFA 14, although this was always going to happen considering one game is a popular annual release and GTA V has been in development for a number of years.

Pokemon X and Y might be on a handheld device, but both adults and children are busy playing this game on the move and at home. Its success is thanks to a massive following of the Pokemon brand.

Both FIFA 14 and GTA V have enjoyed a lot of success since each game released, and while Pokemon X and Y sits lower in the charts you can’t deny the success when compared to last years sales of Black 2 and White 2. Nintendo explained that Pokemon X and Y doubled the sales of the previous game for week one.

You can see the top 20 games in the UK Games Chart below, although a full list can be seen in this article assembled by ukie.info. It is pretty impressive still to see Black Ops 2 at position 26 so long after launch.
