FIFA 14 Gareth Bale cover virals after Madrid move

As most of you are well aware, Gareth Bale has now made his world record transfer to Real Madrid. While this is very exciting for football fans around the world, there is now a dilemma for EA. Gareth Bale features on the FIFA 14 UK cover in his Tottenham shirt, so are we expecting him to be removed or will EA simply change the shirt?

Traditionally we always have one Premiership star on the cover of FIFA every year, so this would break tradition if EA sticks with Bale since he’ll now be plying his trade in La Liga. We imagine that a lengthy contract has been signed between Bale and EA though, so removing him from the cover altogether doesn’t seem like an option.

What could happen is that we’ll have Messi, Bale in a Real Madrid shirt and then a late entry from a British player joining the cover as an addition. In the meantime though, Twitter fans have been having a lot of fun over the same dilemma – with many mock up FIFA 14 covers now going viral.

We have a selection of these for you to enjoy, with one particular suggesting that Bale has only moved for the money. FIFA 14 isn’t far off a release at all though, so EA really needs to go public on what they intend to do regarding the UK cover which features a star that is no longer in a Spurs shirt or playing in the Premiership.

Which is your favorite Bale viral so far? If you had to choose a British Premiership player to replace Bale on the cover, who would it be and why? Don’t forget to check out Bale’s Madrid stats prediction here.
