FIFA 14 faces update with Liverpool’s Gerrard, Coutinho

The moment has finally come for fans of Liverpool FC, as we can tell you that Barcelona are not the only team this season that has inked an exclusive deal with EA Sports in relation to FIFA 14. EA and Liverpool have announced a deal which will finally see accurate representations of all of the current Liverpool squad in FIFA 14 upon release.

It means that you can expect to see a decent model of Steven Gerrard in the game for once and also a Glen Johnson model which has finally been updated with his shaved head. The 3D scans of the players look amazing, although Coutinho will appear in the game still with his curly afro despite the player having it chopped off recently.

Nevertheless, it’s a very big deal for FIFA fans who support Liverpool. EA has released a teaser trailer, showing the players undergoing their 3D scans – even man of the moment Luis Suarez, whose future may lie at Arsenal or Real Madrid when the new season starts later this month.

Aside from the updated 3D player scans, the three-year partnership with EA will also mean that Anfield will look as accurate as ever. What we don’t know yet is whether the deal will also ensure that specific player celebrations will make it into the game. For example, Fabio Borini’s ‘knife in the mouth’ and Daniel Sturridge’s somewhat dubious dancing antics.

Check out the 3D scan trailer and let us know how excited you are as a Liverpool fan. FIFA 14 is due out September 27 in Europe and September 24 in the US.
