FIFA 14 continues UK domination, GTA V falls

FIFA 14 has continued its UK domination at the top of the gaming chart, whilst GTA V falls in sales from the previous week. EA’s immensely popular football title has firmly held top spot for 8 consecutive weeks now, with the 5th Grand Theft Auto title slipping further down by the weeks.

On the whole, the top half of the chart is largely unchanged from as it was last week. Call of Duty: Ghosts continues to dwell behind FIFA 14 in 2nd place, with Battlefield 4 sitting a place behind in 3rd. Last week Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag occupied 4th place in the UK games chart, once again this week there has been no change on that front.

Last week’s number 6, Lego Marvel Super Heroes has risen a place up to 5th, with Killzone: Shadow Fall also rising up to 6th place from 8th. It was back as you was for Need for Speed Rivals which stays strung to 7th spot, the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft also rises a position this week up to 8th following its 9th place standing last week.

Surprisingly it is GTA V in 9th place this week, falling down from 5th. This is not really a big concern as the game has been successful and the sales peak has come and gone, it is simply interesting to see Grand Theft Auto fall so far in a single week behind some of the titles that it has. It is worth considering that some of these games have had next gen game launches too, boosting their sales.

Completing the top 10 chart is Alien: Colonial Marines which is another non mover from last week, this is another surprising presence. The game has been hugely slashed in price since disappointing last year, a possible easy selling point many have taken up on. Is the UK sales chart as you expected this week, did you or have you bought any of the games listed?
