FIFA 13 demo includes Match Day preview

After an exciting countdown on the EA website, the long awaited FIFA 13 gameplay trailer has finally arrived. Unveiled during GamesCom 2012, we now have details on some more new modes within the game, as well as the all-important release date for the highly anticipated FIFA 13 demo.

It’s always a big occasion when the demo is close to arrviving, and after Konami has already released the demo for PES 2013, we can confirm that the FIFA 13 demo will release on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store on September 11.

Within the demo will be an opportunity to sample the brand new Match Day mode that was announced at GamesCom. This will give players the opportunity to experience FIFA 13 gameplay, with events that synchronize with events happening every weekend in real life. This feature is similar to the Live Season in previous games that required an additional fee to play, but it looks like EA are implementing this into the base game so everyone can experience it.

The commentary is also apparently going to be delivered and tweaked in Match Day mode to follow events that happen in real matches – although specific details on how this will work are yet to be seen. We knew that the game would be coming with Kinect support, but EA also unveiled Move support for the game during Sony’s GamesCom presser – we’ve included a little clip showing how this will work below in a match between Arsenal and Chelsea.

We have a feeling that it’s all going to be about Match Day though and this has the potential to be an amazing addition to FIFA 13 and future games in the series. If EA can really recreate that authentic experience of shifting everything from real life to FIFA, then a lot of football fans are going to buy into it straight away.

We’ll be talking about some of the new features in detail later, but for now just have a look at the new GamesCom trailer below. The graphics for Lionel Messi do not look bad either.
