FIFA 12: Patch update for PS3, Xbox 360 will fix Ultimate Team problems

We have some welcome news for those of you who have been having major problems with the Ultimate Team portion of FIFA 12. EA has just announced that a patch update for the console versions of the game will be releasing in a few weeks.

As we told you earlier on this week, EA has already released a patch update for the PC version, an update which also addresses problems related to FIFA 12 Ultimate Team. If you have a copy of the game, you have probably already experienced the connection issues with Ultimate Team already, and will know that constant connection error messages render this part of the game useless, a shame since every other aspect of FIFA 12 is spot on.

According to EA’s first FIFA 12 podcast as detailed by Eurogamer, a patch update for consoles is on the way within the next two to three weeks. The Ultimate Team portion of the game is thought to be getting patched up before this planned update in 2-3 weeks, and the new update is said to include big corrections to the game as well.

If you have the PC version of the game, you’ll be pleased to hear that EA also confirmed that Be a Pro goalkeeper will receive a fix too, as well as issues regarding frequent disconnects on Origin.

We’ll inform you when the patch updates go live. In the meantime, let us know if you are still having problems with FIFA 12 Ultimate Team or not. Is it too early to call it a game-breaker situation or not? Check out the full podcast from EA at their website here. On a sidenote, you can read reviews from rival game PES 2012, if you’re interested in seeing if Konami has done a better job with the game this year or not.
