FIFA 12 new features revealed, FAQs answered via Twitter

In an attempt to calm down and assure the FIFA 12 fans with their FAQs, EA decided to hold an online interview recently via Twitter. The interview gave the fans the opportunity to question the developers directly, particularly Simon Humber, Producer of this year’s Career Mode. During the interview there were a few features revealed which had been speculated about for a while now.

According to Bettor, the overall session lasted a couple of hours which turned out to be plenty of time for the long list of details that were revealed. In a recent article we touched on what was revealed about the transfers and morale system, by David Rutter. Humber elaborated these details confirming that players who did not play enough games would have a low morale, affecting performance.

He also gave away that ‘prodigy players’ would grow or develop faster than before as well as being already highly rated. Also players who are loaned out will grow better and their performances can now be tracked. An offer may be made by a club after a loan spell for a player and any player can now be bid on for loan, not just those listed for loan.

Humber confirmed that international breaks will not be a feature in this title, which may be disappointing to some fans but he explains that it’s because they wanted to focus on the club experience, so player injury or fatigue from international duty would not affect the team. Many transfer market questions were also asked. We recently brought you a preview of what changes have been made to the transfer market.

Firstly player contracts can be re-negotiated if they were unhappy with it, whereas before they would just reject it. The negotiation times will also differ depending on the player. Player swap deals will not feature in the negotiation of a transfer, again many fans may be disappointed with this as it is a popular feature in real life. Finally Humber mentioned that when playing a career with your Pro, only the AI Manager would be dealing in the transfer market as before, unless you choose to be a Player Manger of course.

What do you think of the changes that have been made to FIFA 12? Is there anything else you would have liked to have seen changed?
